Joy Taint
They say I inspire,
But then I betray you and become a liar,
Father please forgive me,
I do wrong behind your back and in Satan’s name decree,
I hold on to this world that is quickly falling,
Even though I know without you I’d barely be crawling,
I have one foot on either side,
I know you will not abide,
I must choose my side,
And I know the love you have for me is a mile wide,
We are so oblivious to the crumbling walls,
As we cry that God has forsaken us when we can’t make collect calls,
We look to only better ourselves,
Seeking congratulations to place on our shelves,
We leave no room for the Maker,
We are just supple bread and he is the Baker,
I try to praise your name,
But then I sin and it just doesn’t sound the same,
I feel I am trapped in this cycle of complacency,
God is busting me out of my culture’s concept of decency,
The years of compromise is ending,
We are in the business of soul mending,
Yet I still persist to desist,
Clenching to the sky my stained fist,
Then Jeshua comes to console,
As I drink from his overflowing bowl,
He is my rock,
In him; I will not fear if they mock,
He loves me like no other,
I must spread my joy to every sister and brother...
About Me
- Psalmer
- "There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future, or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain." -Babylon 5
